They might have had sympathy after the first Trump administration but this time... FFS. They knew who and what they were voting for. SYMPATHY??? Are you kidding? How about an article accepting responsibility for the position they now find themselves in? The US is now just a joke internationally and even when the mad king goes, the fact that 'the people' voted for this man TWICE has shown the world that the US is not to be trusted. Neither it's president, it's government, nor the citizens who put him there. Of course there are good people in the US, I read about the resistance every day on Substack. But there is also a resistance in every dictatorship regime and globally these are viewed only as a dictatorship, not as 'a regime with resistance'. Sadly this is where the US now finds itself and it will never recover. Canada is showing itself to be the new global leader.

The article isn’t asking anyone to extend them sympathy. It’s addressing the very real issues happening right now—how the farming industry is being decimated by the tariffs. In return, so are the country and global stability. Also, why did many of them vote the way they did. Maybe for some of these reasons? https://mitchthelawyer.substack.com/p/theyre-hacking-our-minds-and-calling?r=2fe7t3

They voted trump. They hate “socialism” … they can’t have it both ways … all government money to farmers IS SOCIALISM … under trump … it’s every man for himself … no government handouts to farmers … they voted for it

Many did and others didn't. But I understand where you're coming from. For the reasons discussed in the article, it's not to our advantage, as Americans, to see the farming industry get tanked. Hopefully this nightmare will bring clarity to an entire industry and move us in a direction away from Trump and towards better alternatives in 2026 and 2028.

They were perfectly happy to have this happen to someone else. Especially if that someone was Brown, Black, Gay or a woman but not that it’s happening to them they are all upset. They brought this on themselves!

Many but not all of them. I'm hoping it will bring this industry around so that we get all of their votes in 2026 and 2028.

How many soybean farmers have you met in your life? What you post here doesn’t reflect a basic understanding of either soybean or milk markets, of commodity markets in general or of the growing season for either soybeans or corn.

From the farmers I’ve talked to and, based upon what I’m reading, listening to and watching, I think that’s the case. But the damage is done. It’s bad.
