I couldn't agree more. My awakening to the political world took me a long time. But, what got me here was the fact that the phrase that I've heard so many times ..."at the end of the day..its just politics" doesn't work anymore because the orange doughnut has brought humanity into the discussion. I can't sit back anymore and watch this happen. The cruelty is the point, as well as the lying. Thank you for the great article

Thanks for posting, Mitch! Bob, was a great man! Never had an interaction with him as a friend or a professional that didn’t leave me inspired to be a better man. May he rest in peace and may his memory and service cloak his family as a blessing that protects them from Trump’s unimaginable cruelty! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼✊

Trump’s comments show his true evil not human being

It would be easy to focus on the cruelty of Trump's posting, but as a malignant narcissist, he wants attention. Good or bad, he wants the attention to be focused on him. I offer my condolences to the family of Robert Mueller. They may be sad at his passing, but they can also be very proud of this man who dedicated himself to public service. And trying to save another man during battle? We already know what Trump would say as his best advice would be to avoid the battlefield altogether. But Trump is certainly willing to send others to battlefields around the world. Mueller was an admirable man. He honored the rule of law. He performed his job without seeking attention or notoriety. Whenever I encounter young law students, I always encourage to dedicate themselves to public service and not just pursue higher salaries. Mueller would be an example role model.

Mitch, what a wonderful article and tribute to a giant of an American patriot. When I heard about Trumps post, I was disgusted, yet not surprised. You are correct, this is who he is.

I really appreciate this Mitch. Both Mr. Mueller and Trump are examples: of who to be and of who not to be.

Exactly. So well said.

well written. I couldn’t agree more with you!

Thanks Irit. Let's honor his work and dedication by not letting others smear his name and reputation.

Thank you for writing this. For giving Robert Mueller the respect he earned and deserves.

He lived the life I'd be proud to watch my children follow. As for the other guy, I'd be disappointed and would know I failed as a parent. Let's not let people forget what Trump said and did on Saturday.

Dear Mitch,

What a wonderful article about an honorable man, Robert Mueller. He was a true hero, public servant, selfless, quiet, yet strong and unwavering.

😔💔💐.

Trump?? A cruel pathetic excuse of a humans being. He will never have one teeny tiny ounce in one of his draft dodging bone spurs of the strength, morality, compassion, or decency that Robert Mueller had in his amazing life.

Trump is a tiny, cruel, vindictive, jealous, crass, indecent man.

God Speed Robert!! You are an amazing person!! Your spirit will live on. My heart felt sympathy to his family. We all lost a great man too soon.

😔💔🌹💐🔆🌏

I couldn't stay silent Judith. As you know there's a lot going on in the United States and around the world, but when I saw Trump's post about Robert Mueller, I was sick to my stomach. Trump represents evil; he's the worst of the worst and frankly I'm equally upset with so many people looking the other way on this story. You know my mantra: We need to stand tall and be loud, and what Trump did on Saturday is going to just put more fuel on the fire for good Americans to rally, register, and vote in the midterms this year

Hi Mitch,

Trumps comment about Mueller made me sick too. Everything he does makes me sick. I'm so glad you wrote that beautiful article about Robert, his life's work, and his quiet accomplishments.

😔💔💐.

I'm also glad you called Trump out on his cruel, horrible comment. Like you, I couldn't hold my feelings in, hence, my scathing comment about Trump. I definitely know I'm on his hit list, but I will fight tooth and nail to the bitter end. I'm going to my town's No KINGS protest on 28 March, and I'm definitely going to make sure I vote in November.

😊♥️🐾🌿🌏🔆

Thank you for saying that. Too many news outlets: ABC,CBD,NBC are treating this like what he said is normal. Keep calling out trump for the mean white trash that he is.

And you,Mr Mueller, for your service for me and the rest of the country. Well done, thou good and faithful servant; rest in peace now.

Mitch Jackson's avatar

Right? And it's so far from being normal, at least for decent and empathetic human beings. Robert Mueller was one of the most respected public servants in modern history, and for anyone giving the convicted felon in the White House another hall pass on what he says and does, especially about this matter, is inexcusable. I'm going to do my best to not let it get swept under the rug.

Well said, Mike. Mueller walked his talk and led the kind of life that all Americans should strive for. The convicted felon and adjudicated sexual predator in the Oval Office, well, not so much.
